AO Foundation at AMEE 2018, Basel

The Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE) annual conference is a key event in healthcare education, with more than 3,000 participants from around the world. AO Foundation is proud to be a member of the Local Swiss Organizing Committee and the Surgery Track Committee for this year's conference in Basel (August 25–29, 2018).
AO Education Institute and AO surgeon faculty are key contributors to the new Surgery Track at AMEE 2018. With nine activities over four days, this new track addresses best practices and the latest research findings in the field of surgical education and skills training and the development of simulation teachers/trainers. Activities include preconference workshops, short communications, posters, and in-conference symposia and workshops.
Additionally, a panel of internationally renowned experts (Ajit K. Sachdeva, USA; Teodor Grantcharov, CAN; Stephen Tobin, AUS; Wa'el S Taha, SAU) will discuss the Acquisition, Maintenance and Verification of Surgical Skills in the main symposium on Monday, August 27, 2018. This session is available online through the AMEE Live program.
