Rolling out the new AOVET curriculum

Dear friends,

 

It is my utmost pleasure to share with you that the AOVET Education Commission over the past two years has created a set of two standardized courses that will change the foundation of veterinary orthopedic surgeons around the world.

 

Our aim was to have a clear competency-based course setup that can be used around the world to ensure that all surgeons obtain the same level of knowledge when attending AOVET courses.

 

Special credit goes to the creators of this curriculum, Toby Gemmill, Mark Glyde, and Amy Kapatkin. They dedicated many extra hours to create both the program and the skills lab as well as the multiple-choice questions (MCQs) for pre- and post-course assessment and everything that goes into this “off-the-shelf” course.

 

With this approach we are keen to have you, dear AOVET faculty, on board when teaching at your next assignment. Please take your time and read carefully what this AOVET curriculum is all about.
