Editorial
Dear colleagues,
In this third issue of the AO CMF FacultyFocus newsletter, we share with you the latest news from the world of AO CMF.
For example, Community Development’s launch of a closed case discussion group on Facebook exclusively for AO CMF members allows for direct interaction, peer-to-peer consultation, and mentoring. We encourage you to join the group and become an AO CMF online mentor!
In this issue, you can also read about the AO CMF Research and Development’s latest focus with three new international multicenter registries started on the topics temporomandibular joint (TMJ) replacement, mandibular fractures in the elderly (over 60 years old), and orbital fractures.
Also, get the latest information on the new and exciting educational activities that AO CMF has planned worldwide for 2020, including the newly designed Lighthouse wet lab courses, and be sure to check out the latest tips and tricks to advance your teaching skills.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our faculty for your continued commitment to teaching and learning.
As you know, the AO values its history, traditions, and identity. Change and innovation have always been an integral part of all of our undertakings. The new AO brand design pays tribute to this and aims to convey the message that the AO is a dynamic, open, and innovative organization. The AO’s core activities, its passion for excellence, and its dedication to improving patient outcomes by serving its diverse health care community, remain unchanged.
Last but not least, we want to keep you updated with the latest news in AO CMF Education and your valuable input helps us do that. So, drop us an e-mail at faculty@aocmf.org with your ideas for article topics or any questions you would like for us to address in the future.
We hope you enjoy reading this edition FacultyFocus!
With best wishes,
Gregorio Sánchez Aniceto
