To maximize the fellowship experience, fellows apply directly to the institution that best matches their level of experience, and the host institution or practice decides whether to accept the applicant and the duration of the fellowship. Acceptance by the institution/practice is mandatory before the AO VET Fellowship applicant can submit application forms and request an AO VET fellowship, which brings with it a CHF 500 per week stipend to help cover living expenses. Most AO VET Fellowships are 2–12 weeks long.

 

AO VET is now compiling a list of clinics and hospitals willing to offer AO VET Fellowship opportunities. Faculty members willing to host AO VET Fellows at their facilities should complete the host center form and return it by e-mail to fellowship@aovet.org.
