AO PEER joins the team of educational experts

After the three-year development phase, the AO Program for Education and Excellence in Research (AO PEER) has been transitioned to the AO Education Institute.

AO PEER has successfully been moved to the AO Education Institute (AO EI) and is now part of the Faculty Development Department. The aim is to support the further development of this valuable education format. Denise Hess will continue to be the driving force behind AO PEER within the AO EI. Other staff who have been involved in AO PEER remain in the AO Innovation Translation Center (ITC) and continue to contribute their research expertise to the program.

AO PEER's main focus for 2020 is the transfer of the AO PEER curriculum into a virtual learning environment. It will also continue with face-to-face courses as soon as the current COVID-19 challenges become more manageable.

How to become an AO PEER teacher

If you have experience in clinical research and at least one peer-reviewed publication, and if you are motivated to teach specific aspects of clinical research, please reach out to AO PEER for further information and opportunities to attend AO PEER courses, including teacher seminars.

How to organize an AO PEER course in your region

Get in touch with AO PEER if you have plans to organize an AO PEER course near you. AO PEER staff will guide you through the funding and organizational process and help you to link with other clinical divisions in your region.

You can help further improve AO PEER by sharing your ideas at aopeer@aofoundation.org.
