Welcome

Editorial

AO Trauma education taskforces and AO Trauma chairpersons have been designing and running online educational activities around the globe over the past few months in response to the shortage of face-to-face, on-site activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In this edition of FacultyFocus, several chairpersons of recent AO Trauma online events share their insights and provide advice for future online events.

Additionally, many of you will be interested in our articles focusing on how to develop online educational events and how to conduct breakout sessions online. These articles provide some extra tips that will undoubtedly make your life as online teacher much easier.

Designing and chairing online courses and online teaching are new for many of us. My special thanks go to all involved in online teaching this year: Your creativity to maximize impact, your ability to overcome challenges related to these new offerings, and your commitment to maintaining the highest quality of teaching are outstanding.

Best wishes,

Wa'el Taha, MD
Chairperson, AO Trauma Education Commission
