AO Davos Courses 2020:
December 3–6, 2020

The new online format for the AO Davos Courses 2020 promises to be the biggest and most incredible undertaking ever!

Thanks to the enthusiasm of AO CMF's faculty and their commitment to embracing new and exciting opportunities to educate CMF surgeons across the globe, the vision of the AO CMF course chairs for this year’s flagship event will be fulfilled over four consecutive days, December 3–6, 2020.

The chairs have worked tirelessly and have put together an education program that is ambitious and involves more faculty than ever; in fact over 100 faculty have stepped forward to accept the challenge.

New online masters course

The AO CMF Online Masters Course—Mastering the Nose: Advanced Midface Concepts is a unique and first- ever program on mastering the nose. The course has been carefully developed by Amir Elbarbary, Lynne Fryer, Nils-Claudius Gellrich, Sabine Girod, Majeed Rana, Ian Sharp, Patricia Stoor, and Rüdiger Zimmerer. Designed to give participants masters-level insight into the complete treatment of the nasal region, this course pays attention to aesthetics, orthognathics, obstructive sleep apnea, congenital deformities, traumatic injury, and resection and reconstruction.

The course will be delivered in four modules, one module each day at 10:00–14:15 CET then repeated at 17:00–21:15 CET. Participants can join from wherever they are and at a time that suits them.

Module 1: Aesthetic and functional surgery including obstructive sleep apnea

Module 2: Congenital deformities including cleft: surgical planning and secondary deformity

Module 3: Traumatic injuries of the nose and central midface

Module 4: Ablation and reconstruction: treatment of ablative deformities in hard and soft tissue

Continuing medical education (CME) plays a key role, and an application has been made to the UEMS-EACCME® in Brussels for CME accreditation this online event.
