The AO Davos Courses 2020: the future of medical education

In a new and completely online format, the AO Davos Courses 2020 continue the AO’s 60-year legacy of shaping the future of medical education. The first-ever completely online AO Davos Courses underscore the AO’s commitment to the health and safety of course participants, faculty, staff, partners, and the Davos community—and allow surgeons to take part in the event from anywhere in the world.

“The AO Davos Courses 2020 offer surgeons worldwide unparalleled value and a chance to design their personal experience. We know that education is key to improving surgeon performance, and the AO Davos Courses 2020 are an unparalleled opportunity to learn from and engage with the best,” said AO President Robert McGuire.

The virtual learning environment provides an intuitive experience for both course faculty and course participants, all with the distinctive flavor of Davos. This year the AO offers over 20 online courses from AO CMF, AO Recon, AO Spine, AO Trauma, AO VET, and from the AO Program for Education and Excellence in Research (AO PEER).

The learning space will feature the latest information on research and development across the AO: ARI, the AO ITC, and AO EI all offer resources to enhance participants' experience.

Participants will have the opportunity to browse the library of AO video material and publications, visit the Exhibit hall, experience the latest innovations thanks to the AO Technical Commission's popular Meet the Experts sessions, and continue the discussion with other faculty and course participants.
